Anandabazar forgot his social responsibility

To
The editor,
Anandabazar Patrika.

Do we need such horrible pictures and vivid descriptions of any accident in your newspaper which is known to be a family newspaper? Can you imagine what impact those pictures of distorted body parts will have on the children? Is not the news enough that there is a collisson between two trains causing hundreds of casualties? With that information, any human can understand what will be the situation of the dead bodies.

This trend of publishing horrible pictures was being seen for the last few incidents including fire at Stephen Court, Kolkata, but it has crossed all limits with this Gnaneswari mishap.

The cause of the accident is still unknown, but if it is done by maoists, then andabazar is actually helping the maoists to spread the news of their strenth by showing such photographs.

Please consider seriously about your social responsibility as a journalist as a human being and stop publishing these nuisance.

On behalf of crores of Anadabazar lover,
Jhinuk Gupta.
